Saumya is an undergraduate student at UCLA majoring in neuroscience, and she is excited to serve as Co-Editor-in-Chief for Science, Translated! Saumya’s research interests lie in learning about non-invasive advancements being made to treat neurological disorders like Parkinson’s disease. She has previously served as an officer for a STEM publication, where she developed her passion for scientific journalism. In her free time, Saumya enjoys creative writing and hiking. She hopes Science, Translated will help spread the excitement about scientific discovery to the greater undergraduate population and ultimately bridge the gap between researchers and the general public.
